About Me
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 9 years of experience in the mental health field. I have experience providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I engage in ongoing training, professional development, and consultation as an active member of the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis, the Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California, and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
Prior to opening my private practice, I worked extensively in community mental health settings throughout Oakland and San Francisco, including outpatient mental health clinics, crisis stabilization sites, residential treatment programs, and both alternative and traditional schools.
I worked with underserved populations experiencing suicidality, traumatic loss, addiction, and psychosis, often while navigating complex social issues related to discrimination, disability, homelessness, incarceration, and psychiatric hospitalization. If these experiences have affected you, your loved ones, or your community, I welcome you to bring them to our sessions.
